About the Instructor
Janine d'Haven MA, MDiv, LPC
MBSR Instructor
(MIndfulness Based Stress Reduction)
Welcome. I’d like to share a bit about myself and the heart behind my work.
For more than 20 years, I’ve helped people reconnect with their inner strength as a Licensed Therapist, Spiritual Director, and Mindfulness Coach. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology and have a Masters in Divinity. I am a Licensed Psychotherapist with certifications in several therapeutic modalities, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Food as Medicine, and therapeutic tools for addressing Chronic Pain.
Before returning to graduate school in Counseling, I served as a First Responder. That experience deeply shaped my commitment to supporting individuals—especially other First Responders—who carry the weight of trauma. It guided me toward providing trauma‑informed care and continues to influence the compassion and steadiness I bring to my work.
My studies in Religion and Spirituality introduced me to mindfulness and its profound ability to transform daily life. In 2018, I began my journey toward becoming a certified MBSR Instructor, and I am grateful to bring this evidence‑based program to Northern Arizona. Early in my psychotherapy career, I began integrating mindfulness into my sessions to help clients cultivate greater peace, clarity, and calm.
Whether through MBSR or counseling, I offer a space where you are seen, heard, and supported—never judged. My intention is to walk beside you as we explore your inner landscape and how it shapes your quality of life. By weaving the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual threads of your experience, you can build resilience and discover natural ways to cope, heal, and thrive.

A very special thank you to the Inner Vision team that made this site possible.
